The Victorians associated the amaryllis with strength and determination because of their height and sturdiness.  Amaryllis can also mean success, and they are commonly given as gifts of hard-won achievement.

According to The Psychology Of Color, pink has a feminine energy and is the color of relationships.  It is believed to be one of the best colors for the bedroom.  It represents love, joy, happiness and romance.
